Touching Center - Yoga Nidrā for Equinox

  • Mighty Networks + Zoom (map)

Select practices and yoga nidrā to integrate your opposites and rest in the moment of equilibrium.

Equinox is a special moment in the Earth’s cycle, when day and night reach equilibrium. As we pass through Equinox, we pass through a moment of center—before the balance tips toward longer days in the Southern Hemisphere and longer nights in the Northern Hemisphere.

Vedic wisdom teaches us to attune to the larger patterns and energies of the natural world, allowing the macrocosm to inform and support our own orientation, integration, and recognition of wholeness.

At this Equinox, we’ll work with this moment of equilibrium as an opportunity to bring into relationship aspects of ourselves that may have been in conflict, polarized, or out of balance. Rather than struggling for resolution, we’ll listen for what becomes possible when we meet ourselves within the unlimited field of oneness.

We’ll begin with movement and breathing practices, applying the tools of yoga to prepare body and mind and practice a variation on a powerful technique from the tantric tradition to invoke the energies of Equinox. From there, we’ll enter a deep practice of yoga nidrā. Resting in receptive awareness, we can invite the experience of balance to saturate and integrate through all layers of our being.

Join me for a practice of touching center, at the moment when the Earth Herself is there.
